Community Involvement

I am profoundly fascinated by the differences and variations in cultures across different countries and regions, leading me to cherish the friends, classmates, and colleagues who have appeared in my life. Shortly after arriving in the United States, I secured a part-time opportunity working on a cross-cultural leadership program, a position I treasure like a precious gem. Over the course of one and a half years, I served as one of primary planners and organizers, participating in the organization of 20 Weekly National Coffee Hours, 4 International House Sunday Suppers, 4 Critical Conversations, and a campus-large-scale International Cultural Festival. I firmly believe that equal dialogue fosters understanding, and greater understanding brings love and peace.

Because of the profound imprint left by my unique personal experiences, I deeply detest inequality, including gender inequality, unequal distribution of educational resources, and the inequality experienced by those unable to achieve generational mobility due to lack of representation.

Many more subtle inequalities deserve attention, such as the inequality of opportunities brought about by language barriers, unequal opportunities for immigrant descendants, and educational inequality caused by technological underdevelopment, among others. Education is the fundamental means to change all of this. I have previously strived to promote educational equality through the establishment of educational and educational technology companies, lecturing at universities, and setting up scholarships at universities. In the future, I will continue this mission, constantly pushing for equal educational opportunities through educational policy, allowing individuals to fully realize their potential.

I resided in Shanghai, China, for many enriching years, immersed in a city that radiates a diverse, international, and innovative beauty. Over a magical six-year span, I had the privilege of imparting lifestyle aesthetics to residents of more than two thousand communities. My classes, infused with tradition and creativity, ranged from the delicate art of home flower arranging to children's crafts, the joy of healthy baking, and the refined appreciation of Chinese tea culture. Within the smiles and laughter of those I taught, I found glimmers of hope and contentment, echoes of a time that will remain etched in my heart and soul, a memory I will cherish for all my life.

In addition, I also focus on the changes that the COVID-19 pandemic has brought to the economies and consumer behavior of various countries, especially the transmission effects of the corresponding public health policies. Please see the following links:
